Sky seier i Eneco Tour!

Greg Henderson vant i dag etappen i Eneco Tour. Alt gikk som planlagt fra taktikkmøte før start. Edvald som har vært mannen vi har kjørt for de første dagene ville gjerne takke for hjelpen og gi Greg muligheten. Alt fungerte perfekt og vi brukte alle mann i opptrekket, og når Edvald tar Greg helt til streken kan det jo ikke gå galt! Sinnsykt artig!...

Kurt Asle Arvesen has broken collar bone

Kurt Asle has broken collar bone. During the Tour de France last year he broke the collar bone to but this time it is on the other side.

We know that Kurt Asle has tremendous physical strength, but this is no fun. He now travels home to more control and monitoring. In addition, he will there receive good support from friends and family. We hope to see him on the bike soon!!.

No fun in his deby of new team, yellow jersey, and the great shape he was in now, but it's still February and a long season again!

Back in Italy

Training camp in Spain is over. We have trained well and the team works well together. The atmosphere is very good and we have become well known! Towards the end of camp I was sick and had to add an extra day of rest. The new clothes from Adidas and bikes from Pinarello seems to work well.

2009 and a Happy New Year!!

That 2009 would be my last season with Bjarne Riis and Saxo Bank, I had not dreamed about a year ago. This was a difficult decision that I knew would change much. At the same time very sad to leave good friends and a team that has significance as much for me and my career for so many years.

2009 season began in Denmark with an annual team-building week in December. Sesongoppkjøringen I did in Argentina, where I ran the first races, and in California. This spring season I came too late in time and was not really in shape before the latest Cretaceous, Paris-Roubaix, where I was 16

Run-up to the Tour de France (TDF) went well, and managed to get top shape to a championship in Sandnes, where I won and defended the championship jersey. TDF started fine and we headed long with Fabian Cancellara. The form was excellent. I have overturned before the TDF but still managed to finish despite a break in the ribs. This time there was a break in the collar bone and I had dialed just before "my" legs came. This is NOK the biggest defeat in my career.

Training went well, and came back in Eresfjord Classis and GP Oslo, both of which had great success to the sport in Norway. Never forget the atmosphere in Oslo on the day.

Finished the season with Spain and around the World Cup. The form came back and could round off the season with a 12th in the World Cup, Mendrisio.

Now is a new season for the trip and I can not wait to get started again, now with my new team, Team Sky! In the morning clash it loose and you can follow everything through my website, fan club on facebook or via twitter!

Kurt Asle Arvesen: Team Sky

Kurt Asle has signed a two year contract with Sky Team. After 6 years on the world's best cycling team, he has developed enormously as a cyclist and got a central role in the team. This has also made the choice to leave the team and my good friends have been very difficult!

"The Team Sky want my skills and also wants to focus on me now as I approach the end of my career is incredibly nice and exciting! In addition, I am looking forward to ride with several Norwegian."
Currently running Kurt Asle LaVuelta and want to clarify that the contract with Saxo Bank will expire until the new year, so he continues unaffected with Team Saxo Bank! »
